Mispro Biotech Services is committed to the ethical and humane treatment of each and every research animal under our care.
A strong focus on animal welfare is a core value of Mispro, not only because it’s the right thing to do, but also because it’s critical to the success of your science. Accurate animal studies can only happen if the animals are comfortable, free from stress, and living in clean and stable research environments.
You can be confident in the welfare of the animals in every one of our managed facilities as we assure AAALAC-accreditation, full compliance with federal, state, and local animal welfare regulations, and strict adherence to IACUC protocol review and approval before any study begins. This is the least we can do for the animals that give so much to us.

Mispro’s institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is a diverse self-regulating body comprised of Mispro staff, scientists, veterinarians, non-scientists, and at least one non-affiliated member to represent community interests and concerns.
The primary function of the IACUC is to assist our clients in upholding Mispro’s commitment to ensure the responsible care and humane use of all animals used in research across all of our sites. The Committee reviews protocols, evaluates the Mispro animal care and use program at regular intervals, and monitors each site’s animal facilities and research activities to ensure compliance with protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
The use of animals is a privilege and animals must be treated respectfully, carefully, and responsibly. Mispro is committed to the principles of the 3R’s: replacement, reduction, and refinement. The purpose of these concepts is to minimize animal use and pain or distress while still achieving critical scientific objectives leading to our client’s advances in health and medicine.
To report activities that may involve illegal, unethical, or inappropriate conduct or behavior in Mispro facilities by Mispro employees, clients, and others in a business relationship with Mispro, you may file a report online HERE or by calling our toll-free hotline at (844) 850-6485. Web and hotline reporting is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. ALL REPORTS ARE ANONYMOUS AND CONFIDENTIAL.
