Our compliance oversight includes Mispro’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), which reviews study protocols to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. Mispro’s IACUC expertise is a valuable resource that can enhance the success of your studies. All preclinical research in our vivarium facilities requires approval from our in-house IACUC.
Mispro has a dedicated, in-house compliance team that assists our clients in meeting federal, state, and local regulations, as well as attaining proper licensure that is mandatory for conducting animal studies. Additionally, all of our animal research facilities comply with state and local regulatory requirements.
Mispro’s facility and laboratory animal program are AAALAC accredited. The Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC) is a global nonprofit organization that sets the standard for humane care in animal research and safe and stable research environments.
Along with compliance services, Mispro provides a range of animal research services to help clients conduct effective preclinical in vivo studies.
Animal Husbandry is required for animal research and includes daily care to ensure animals are stable, healthy, and well maintained in a clean environment. Veterinary oversight includes regular monitoring of the health of the animals and vets are on call to diagnose and prescribe for when animals are sick, as well as ensure that animal study protocols are being followed.
Mispro’s animal research facilities offer scientists in vivo technical services support, where skilled veterinary technicians can assist client research teams with tasks related to early-stage rodent studies. Our tech services can also provide on-site training for teams in a variety of areas.
